GunJitsu is a personal safety consulting and coaching practice operating as W2 Training & Firearms. We provide non-shooting personal safety workshops, private coaching sessions, and consulting services. We are not a law firm, medical practice, or law enforcement agency. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, medical, or law enforcement advice.
2. Services
GunJitsu offers the following services:

- Coaching Sessions — The Tune Up, Armed Home Defense, Everyday Carry (EDC) Tune Up, Active Shooter Response
- Coaching Packages — Squire, Applied EDC, Advanced EDC
- Complimentary Personal Safety Assessment — no-obligation consultation
Service availability, pricing, and content are subject to change. Current offerings and pricing are published at gunjitsu.us and are incorporated by reference into these Terms. Posted website pricing governs at the time of booking.
Eligibility. Range coaching sessions, EDC programs, and any firearms-handling activity are available only to participants who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Workshops and the Complimentary Personal Safety Assessment are open to all adult participants. GunJitsu does not knowingly enroll minors in any range-based or firearms-handling program.
3. Assumption of Risk & Waiver
All range-based and physical training activities involve inherent risk of injury. Participation in any GunJitsu range coaching session or firearms-related training requires a signed GunJitsu Training Waiver (the “Waiver”), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, prior to participation. By signing the Waiver and participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Non-shooting workshops do not require a Waiver but are attended at your own risk. GunJitsu is not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from your application of information presented in any workshop or coaching session, except where such liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
4. Expert Witness Representation
Coaching packages (Squire, Applied EDC, Advanced EDC) include the right to request Expert Witness Services from MAJ (Ret.) Will Rodriguez in connection with a legal proceeding arising from a documented self-defense incident in which the client was a participant, subject to the conditions in this Section 4.
(a) Scope of Services. “Expert Witness Services” means, collectively: (i) up to ten (10) hours of case-preparation consultation with the client’s retained legal counsel; (ii) one (1) deposition appearance; and (iii) one (1) trial appearance. Additional hours or appearances may be arranged at then-current rates. Expert Witness Services do not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or any attorney-client relationship, and Will Rodriguez will engage solely as a non-attorney subject-matter expert under the direction of the client’s retained counsel.
(b) Term. The right to request Expert Witness Services applies to qualifying incidents occurring within ten (10) years following the client’s purchase of a covered package, subject to subsection (e). Requests must be made within ninety (90) days of the date the client first identifies counsel for the matter.
(c) Costs. Travel, lodging, and per diem costs are the responsibility of the client or the client’s retained counsel. Such costs shall be limited to actual reasonable amounts (coach airfare or comparable, standard business-class hotel accommodations, and GSA per diem rates for the relevant locality), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
(d) Substitution. If Will Rodriguez is unavailable due to scheduling, illness, retirement, loss of capacity, death, or any other reason, GunJitsu may, at its option and in its reasonable discretion, designate a comparably qualified substitute expert to perform the Expert Witness Services. Use of a substitute expert satisfies GunJitsu’s obligation under this Section 4.
(e) Conditions and Limitations. Expert Witness Services are subject to: (i) admissibility of expert testimony in the relevant jurisdiction under applicable law and rules of evidence; (ii) absence of any conflict of interest; (iii) the nature of the underlying incident being consistent with topics on which Will Rodriguez is qualified to opine; and (iv) GunJitsu’s scheduling availability acting in good faith. GunJitsu makes no representation or warranty that any expert testimony will be admitted, found credible by the trier of fact, or determinative of the outcome of any proceeding. Where applicable law in any jurisdiction prohibits or restricts the engagement contemplated by this Section 4, GunJitsu’s obligations are limited accordingly without further liability.
(f) Force Majeure. GunJitsu’s obligations under this Section 4 are excused to the extent that performance is prevented or materially delayed by causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, epidemic, governmental order, or the unavailability of Will Rodriguez or any substitute expert.
(g) Modification. GunJitsu may modify the terms of this Section 4 prospectively for packages purchased after the modification’s effective date. Modifications do not affect packages purchased prior to the effective date.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Workshops: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled workshop are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future session. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. No-shows forfeit their registration fee.
Coaching Sessions: Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours in advance via Calendly or direct contact. Late cancellations may be subject to a rescheduling fee not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00), reflecting GunJitsu’s reasonable estimate of administrative costs and being a rescheduling fee.
Coaching Packages: Packages are non-refundable once coaching has begun. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a client who cancels after coaching has begun may, upon written request, receive a partial credit equal to the prorated value of coaching hours not yet delivered, less a fifteen percent (15%) administrative fee. Unused hours may be applied toward other GunJitsu services at GunJitsu’s discretion.
Complimentary Assessment: No cancellation fee. Please cancel or reschedule as a courtesy if you cannot attend.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on gunjitsu.us — including text, course materials, frameworks, lesson plans, and the GunJitsu Five-Step Personal Safety Framework — is the intellectual property of W2 Training & Firearms and MAJ (Ret.) Will Rodriguez. GunJitsu is a service mark of W2 Training & Firearms.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any GunJitsu content without express written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
GunJitsu services and website content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade, all of which are expressly disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that our content is complete, accurate, or applicable to your specific situation. Personal safety outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including individual response, physical capability, and circumstances of an incident.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law, GunJitsu and W2 Training & Firearms shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or legal consequences arising from the application of information or skills taught in any GunJitsu program; provided, however, that nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for (i) gross negligence, (ii) willful misconduct, (iii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (iv) any other liability that may not be limited or excluded under applicable Florida law.
In all events and notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, the aggregate liability of GunJitsu and W2 Training & Firearms arising out of or relating to these Terms or any GunJitsu service shall not exceed the amounts paid by the client to GunJitsu in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or any GunJitsu service shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, with the seat of arbitration in Broward County, Florida. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an action in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida (and the parties hereby consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts) for: (i) injunctive or other equitable relief to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property or confidential information; or (ii) claims that may be brought in small-claims court. Where a client has signed the GunJitsu Training Waiver, the dispute-resolution provisions of the Waiver govern with respect to range and training-related claims.
10. Force Majeure
GunJitsu shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, fire, flood, hurricane, epidemic, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, governmental order or restriction, labor disturbance, or unavailability of facilities or essential personnel. GunJitsu will use commercially reasonable efforts to reschedule affected services or to issue credit toward future services.
11. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them, by operation of law or otherwise, without GunJitsu’s prior written consent. GunJitsu may assign these Terms in whole or in part without restriction. These Terms are binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties and their permitted successors and assigns. Nothing in these Terms creates any right in any third party.
12. Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with the GunJitsu Training Waiver (where applicable) and any written agreement signed by both parties for a specific service, constitute the entire agreement between you and GunJitsu and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings on the same subject matter. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be reformed to give effect to the parties’ intent to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Electronic Communications and Signatures
By using GunJitsu services or providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from GunJitsu electronically, and you agree that any electronic signature or acceptance you provide has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, consistent with the federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) and the Florida Electronic Signature Act (Fla. Stat. ch. 668, Part I).
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted at gunjitsu.us/terms with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
